Gallant participates in "GoGlobal" thematic exchange on IP and data protection in Shenzhen

On 14 July 2026, the Department of Justice of the Hong Kong SAR Government, in collaboration with the Qianhai Authority of Shenzhen, hosted a thematic exchange session at the Go Global (Global Service Center) in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, focusing on legal issues relating to intellectual property rights and data protection. Participants were enterprises mainly operating in sectors such as smart hardware, electronic information, new energy, biopharmaceuticals and high‑end manufacturing.

The event commenced with an introduction by the Qianhai Authority to the Shenzhen Enterprise Going Global Legal Services and Foreign Law Ascertainment Centre. Dr Horace Cheung, Deputy Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong SAR Government, delivered the opening remarks.

Our Firm was represented by Claudia Kwok (Corporate and Data Law), Rebecca Lo (Intellectual Property) and Chester Ye (Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions). Our lawyers engaged directly with enterprises to share our experiences on IP protection, data compliance and transactional structuring as the enterprises expand into overseas markets.
