August 2015

Our Firm was invited by Fubon Bank (Hong Kong) Limited to deliver a seminar on the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622) on 29 July 2015. The seminar was attended by over 60 members from different departments of the Bank.

Mr. Philip Wong, partner of our Commercial Department and partner-in-charge of our Firm’s banking and finance practice team, led his associates Mr. Kelvin Leung and Ms. Carol Leung, to deliver a seminar on the major issues of the Companies Ordinance and their practical implications to banks in Hong Kong. Mr. Johnny Lau, partner of our Property Department, also attended the seminar.

Mr. Dennis Ha, Senior Vice President and Head of Legal and Corporate Communications of the Bank, commented that of all the seminars on the Companies Ordinance the Bank has received so far, Mr. Philip Wong’s sharing of his experience in this area was most practical and insightful and it served a very good recap of how the Companies Ordinance applies in the banking context.
